Ready to Offer Services

You've already put in work, now it's time to turn what you know into what you do.
It's not just learning anymore, it's about preparing to step into real projects, real clients, real income.
Whether you’re aiming to freelance, join a firm, or launch your own services, this stage is about making things real.

It’s not about being perfect - it’s about showing up as prepared as possible, knowing how to present your skills, and having the right tools to move with confidence.

Here’s how to make the leap without second-guessing yourself.

Your Personalized Next Steps & Tips

Step One

Before you take on paid work, choose one project type and write a one-page plan. What is in scope? What will you deliver? Who approves changes? Who buys the materials? When is payment due? What happens if the project grows? Check the rules where you plan to work, too.

If pricing, client process, purchasing or systems are the parts you need to build, The Interior Design Business Mini Course is a focused place to start. Practice the process before you promise it to a client.

Step Two
A Well Designed Business + Luann University

I will do everything I can do to get you as prepared as possible, but at some point, you will outgrow me - and if you do...I've done my job properly!!!

Luann Nigara, who was once my couch actually, has books you MUST read, a podcast you MUST follow & a designers university that will be your next step for continued education. Her courses are built for independent designers and firm owners who are looking to take their business skills to the next levels. Whether that is in bookkeeping, purchasing, contractor documentation and so much more.

If you are looking for more basics, tips & suggestions for your solo career or starting (upleveling) your own business - The Essentials Package is the perfect place for that. A great way to explore before committing to more.

Step Three

Now that you've got the basics, here are some general tools that will make your life easier. Whether it's the Project Pricing Estimator, giving you a tool & a process to more quickly & confidently quote out jobs, or the Purchasing & Budget Tracker for those of you handling purchasing (which if you did the Degree-less Design Course you know that I am a big believer in that & in not leaving money on the table...) these tools will simply help you not have to do things or learn the hard way. I did it...so you don't have to :)
