Step One
Make a two-column list: what you can already do on your own, and what still needs practice. Test one skill in a room you know: measure it, sketch two layouts, and explain the tradeoffs. Keep the work for your portfolio only if it reflects what you can do independently. If design foundations are your gap, start with the Interior Design Starter Mini Course. If pricing, client process or purchasing is your gap, look at The Interior Design Business Mini Course. The full Degree-less Design Course covers both areas plus deeper technical and project work.
Step Two
Become Excellent
There are a few places I talk about this, but you want to decide which programs you are going to learn, & become excellent in. (To help identify which ones make the most sense for you to start with - you'll want to do that lesson in the Degree-less Design Course...)
